Default Western Digital Slow RMA Service

So I've RMAd two of my drives.

One an Excelstor Jupiter,
And one, a Western Digital.

I mailed the both with the exact same packaging, with numbers written correctly on the box, correctly addressed, etc. I mailed them the exact same day.

Excelstor had my replacement drive back to me within a week and a half,

Western Digital has "Yet to receive" (According to their website) my drive,

But aha!

I purchased Delivery Confirmation, and USPS says that WD Did, in fact, receive my drive...

Anyone else have this confusing / slow problem with WD's RMA service?

Im surprised that a little-bitty HDD Manufacturer like Excelstor was able to respond quicker than the lumberjack that is Western Digital

Maybe they just don't update the status frequently or have much more drives to go through before yours.

I've never used WD's RMA service even though I've owned many of their drives. Newegg is a lot easier to deal with.

Been a long time since I RMAed a WD but back then they weren't slow.

Sounds like you need to contact some one and put up a polite complaint!

My system is down, I need it to make a living.... that one usually get them in gear

Some time ago I RMAd a drive to Western Digital and I kept checking as to when they received it. Seems like there really slow updating between when the receiving dept gets a drive and sends to to the RMA dept. For me, I received the drive before WD's site said they got mine.

I've used WD's service once. They were pretty quick. Drive stopped working after 3 months. Got instant replacement I would guess they were a bit slow in their RMA department.
