What would be better, raid 0 or setup second drive as a storage drive?

If you have anything important, the second option.

What is your end goal?
RAID 0 will win no-contest for raw speed, but the redundancy of multiple drives is nice to have. Personally, if I were building a new storage setup I'd grab a third drive and would go for a RAID 5 array - you get all the performance benefits of striping (I/E, RAID 0), but much increased fault tolerance through mirroring and error correction.

RAID0. First partition (outer edge) for OS/Games/Apps/etc. I set mine to 320GB. Second partition with the remaining space for storage.

Depends on how much you like your data. Like everyone else says, RAID 0 is the uncontested fastest option, however, you're twice as likely to lose all your data, in the event that one of your drives fails.
I use the system drive/storage drive setup.

"in raid0 the 0 stands for the number of files you will get back if one drive fails"
someone on here said it, and it's very true! Happened to me, although i would go raid0 without a shadow of a doubt, its unrivaled for speed. Just buy another disc for important files.
