First time building a raid, enabled it in the BIOS, took whatever slots I put the SATA HDs in, created a raid, and my striped array, it shows up as healthy. Got RAID drivers from various versions(tried one by one) on a floppy disk, installed drivers just fine. Saw the array, did my partitions, formatted them, tried to start installing the system files on it(pre-first reboot), and it just says it cannot find any file before even starting, and to check if the CD is damaged. The CD isn't. Also, if I was to take off the array and do the install on a single drive, it works perfectly.

Are you saying the drivers are incorrect? I've tried 3 different versions, neither of them worked outl. If I take out the drivers, I get blue screens before the partionning screen.
__________________Could it be that I didn't put the disks on the first spot A0-A1 or whatever? Or perhaps that my DVD-ROM is on a SATA as well, and on the same controller? I'm trying to figure out if it might be that I need to update my BIOS/RAID drivers on the mobo itself?

Go to your bootup order and make sure that your raid array is first. My guess is that it isn't currently selected at all.

I'm pretty positive it was, but I'll check when I get home. Pretty annoying though. I've followed the whole setup guide that came with the XFX mobo, and took their latest drivers, NVIDIA's, and some archived ones that were proved to work in the past.

FYI: When I was doing raids on my XP system.. I made my driver disk from ASUS. When I used it during the first steps of XP install.. I actually had to add TWO seperate drivers One is like raid and other is a ??storage?? driver.. cant remember what it was... but I had to do TWO.

Yes, I got mines from my mobo retailer, XFX, and you always have to install:
__________________1- Raid drivers(otherwise you'll get a blue screen) 2- Sata storage controllers(otherwise it will not see your raid.) But, thanks, though. I'll go back to fighting it in an hour or two.

I know this is a stupid question if you already know, but are you hitting F6 at the beginning of the install? You gotta be quick, I missed it the first time.

Yeah, well. I tried a couple other things, unplugging this and that, changing the configs, and eventually, the Vista disk on my desk started to be tempting, so I just installed Vista right away and it crashed the first time, not the second, and had no problems ever since... So uh...
