Default Upgrading Hds but I dont have enough Sata ports

I need to upgrade my hd space. I am currently using all 6 of my sata ports and a new mobo w/ 8 is not an option.
--
This is my current Setup:
SATA:
2x320GB SATA RAID0
4x Asus 20x Dvd drives
ATA:
2x 500GB ATA
--
I am looking to upgrade to 2x750GB for storage but they will not be in RAID.
--
1. Can I just get a RAID card and use them without RAID?
2. Should I get a RAID card and use my 2x320GB on it?
3. What RAID card ~$50 would be good? I know its still software RAID, but I dont have the money for a real controller.
4. What other ideas do you have?

Something like this is your cheapest option. If you're going to do software raid, you might as well leave the 320s on your mobo.

So, I can pick that up and then run the 2 750GB on them but not in RAID?

Video editing and production. 4 optical drives (cost about $100) is a lot cheaper than a DVD copier ($500+). I burn an image from one HD to two DVD drives and then a copy of that same image from a different HD to the other two DVD drives. I can burn at 14x x4 DVDs

Correct, no raid with that card. There are cards (like this) that DO have raid on them in that price range, but I can't speak to their quality. You can also choose between PCI and PCI-E depending on which fits your setup better. You can choose to not use the RAID features on any given RAID card.
