It seems this thread has not gotten a lot of attention lately. I think it's interesting to compare hard disk performance. I do understand NCSA might be very busy lately (I've not seen him online a lot).
I volunteer to take over management of this thread if that would help anyone out. I apologize if I am out of line in any way, shape, or form... just let me know
