I recently puchased a HDD dock for hot swapping hard drives. but for some reason on my computer only western digital HDD work. 320GB Seagate will register under disk management but will not show up under my computer. very strange issue. Also a 500 GB hitachi does not show up either. what could the problem be? mind you HDD have been initialized and formated. Both HDD were tested at local dealer, they both work.

....This is really really really odd if they worked before, maybe some issues on the HDD itself after you took them?

That's very odd.
You see them in Disk Management and can initialize them but they never show up? Never heard of that before.
