Default Can I hide empty card reader volumes?

My card reader displays 4 volumes in My Computer. One for each of the slots on it. They are always there, whether I have a card insterted or not. Is there a way I can have them only appear when the card is inserted?

With card readers I believe its all or nothing, You either have all the volumes showing or you disable or uninstall them,I don't think you can pick and choose which ones show up but I could be wrong.

The removable disk volumes are grouped with my optical drives. Can I create a separate group for them in My Computer in the "Show in Groups" mode?

Windows groups them by default,You could change the grouping in the registry but its not a good idea due to one mistake and you're REFORMATING and losing everything.
I'd just leave things how they are just to be safe.
