Default Does Virtual Memory Actually do anything?

I wasnt sure where to put this but i know that paging uses HDD space so i put it here.
anyways i have set my paging file size to 6gb and have seen no increase in performance.

I see an increase in performance when I turn my PF completely off. A lot of people don't like this idea, but my system hasn't crashed in the 4 months I've been on Win7, nor on the 3 months before that on XP. Nor has my other rig, which has been going for nine months.

All of those systems had the PF off.

I suppose the only way to find out is to try yourself, but for me it makes a pretty big difference. I'd only recommend it if you have 4GB of RAM or more.
