Default Which USB flash drive to buy ???

Im looking to buy a new flash drive 8GB or 16GB...

Ive been looking at:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=350195782632

and

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Corsair-Voyage...QQcmdZViewItem

Is the corsair worth the extra money or should i just get the cheaper kingston ??? which one is faster ??? Ive also heard the 8GB voyagers are faster than the 16GB, is the true ???

Can any of you recommend me a better drive for the same money ???

Thanks for reading

I use one of those 8GB Corsair drives and to be honest it's not as quick (reading or writing) as my OCZ ATV drive.

Check out a 8GB OCZ drive here .... OCZ 8GB ATV

16GB - OCZ 16GB

The reason I like the rubberised drives is that.. I feel if they're made rugged then they're up to the job. Maybe that's just me, but I've never had any trouble with them.

I have used Kingston Data Traveler's also and they never let me down, they just seem a little more flimsy to me.

Any chance you could run HD Tune on it and post the results ???? Do you have the generation 2 (G2) or the older model ???

cheers m8

EDIT... If anyone can find a comparison chart of flash drives i would be very grateful

Hi! I have the G2

I've runned a HD Tune Test (first time ever) lol, and the transfer rate shows a Minimum of 24.8MB/sec and a Maximum of 26.3MB/sec.

I hope this helps!! Cheers Mate!!

ya ocz atv is pretty good. but the corsair voyager is pretty good as well. but dont get the voyager unless you get the GT model..

also the smaller size flash drives will always be faster than bigger ones. my 2gb data traveler is way fast. its also very cheapy and broke so i got a new one. i also have the 8GB sandisk micro cruzer. they are nice, but very cheap feeling.

i have to say so far my ALL time favorite is the patriot Xporter flash drive, shock and impact resistant. i have the xporter 16gb and its lightning fast. much faster indexing music and movies than my 8gb.. way faster

here is my 8GB San Disk Cruzer Micro it's barely better than his 16GB and the smaller ones should be faster, so that Data Traveler sounds decent, let me run outside and get my Patriot 16GB from my truck, as I watch movies on it on my way to work with TV in my truck. (safe i know).

It has to index the movies before starting them, and a 2 hr movie used to take over 2 minutes, and now with the Patriot 16GB it goes in under a minute. so it's much faster than my 8GB cruzer.

I'll post it's results in a minute, but for now here's the sandisk. Average of 28

Thanks everyone.... I might just go with the Kingston G2, it seems to be fast and its the cheapest. I think my kingston 4GB (that ive had for about 2 years) is on its way out:

I noticed it was taking longer to transfer files than it used to
