Default Dvd-rw & cd-rw

I need recommendations for a DVD-RW & CD-RW Sata & Sata 2 Only im upgrading mine because mine is IDE which is really **** and i hate it.
Recommend AWAY please : )

a CD-RW re writes cds and writes to them
a DVD-RW re writes dvds and writes to them

but how comes it dvd writes cd-rws?? im CONFUSED

The drive i recommended can read, write, and rewrite, cd's and dvd's

Either of those would be fine, the only major difference between those two is that the Asus has lightscribe from the looks of it
