Hi guys
__________________I have a TSSTcorp SH-S203P DVD Multi Drive. it is so freaking loud. is there a way to make it a bit more quite?

Mine is loud but I do not hear my PC (it is a little queiter than my Ultra Kaze at full 3000RPM) when my X1 headset is on.

they are great dvd roms no doubt about it but they are sooo freakin loud when i play a dvd i get so much noise from it spinning that i just turn it off. can anyone recommened me a quite one?>

Check if there is a firmware editor. You maybe able to reduce the maximum rotational speed (at the lost of performance). This may be acceptable in certain applications like a HTPC where the drive is only used for playback.

dont think im that compitant to be screwing around with firmware on my own at the moment. plus i havent got a spare drive just incase i birck this one. any other thoughts on ths issue?
