I backup first locally daily, then that backup is backed up weekly to a NAS, and then more important files (documents and photos) are thrown up onto the interwebz.

I've never stored backups besides when I backup'd my first laptop ages ago.

I'll use my 400GB in my server as a backup drive since a new 1TB is going into it and then put it in the bookshelf when I've copied the stuff I wanted from the PC.

I don't do any backups at all

Then again, I don't really have any data that I'd miss.

Manually when I write to my data drive.

I usually have everything build up in my temp drive and transfer it to my data drive after I get them organized. When I do, I write the changes to an internal file server drive and external USB drive at the same time and I have two copies. Turn off the external. Done.

Does anyone have good options for backing up to the web? It seems like the better option since drives (whether internal or external) can fail whenever.

Every couple of weeks all data goes to my external 500GB disc. Important work gets backed up to a laptop and 8GB USB pen weekly.

Never had a critical strike yet, so here's to fingers crossed!
