Default Which SSD

I'm only asking about noticeable difference and not benchmark difference.

I can get 2 Kingston 64gb SSD's for 200 AR.
Or
1 120gb OCZ Vertex for 320AR
Or
2 60 gb OCZ Vertex for 360AR

I know the Kingston is the slower of the 3 but I could actually get 3 of those and still be under my other two options. Which combo above are going to give me the best performance for the money?

If you want the best performance go for the Intel X-25 gen 2, it's really fast but expensive.

Which is why I'm looking for the best performance for the money. I know the X-25 is the best. But would it be better than say 2x OCZ vertex in raid 0? The price is twice as much as everything else and from what I seen of benchmarks it's really not that much faster.

get a crucial 64gb one. They are identical to the OCZ but like £50 less.

ocz vertex are a bit expensive but I can vogue for them. what kind of memory capacity do you need? I ran 3 x 30 gb vertex and got over 600MB/s with an onboard controller. For about $360, if you don't mind 90gb they are ridiculously fast.

Going cheap is not the way to go on these drives because if you pick a 1st generation drive you are plague with stutter problems and degredation. Since intel is out of the question, the next best thing is get any idilinx drive. Use this chart to know what controller each variety SSD in the market.

Thank you all for the feedback. Trying to get 3x 30gig vertex's in raid 0 now. Micro Center has them for pretty cheap. Only problem is that they are sold out in my area and the rebate ends soon. I could go with 2 60's for now and get another one if the price drops around x-mas maybe.

At first I had thought I needed more space than 90 gigs. Last night I took a good look at my hard drives and noticed I was 1.25 tb of space was taken. After finally getting everything in the right places and deleting copies and stuff I didn't need anymore I brought it all the way down to around 200 gigs with only 45 gigs on my OS.

Yeah, the drives were amazing.

Windows 7 boot in 13 seconds.

I miss them so much, but I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money on hdd's while in college
