Default IDE RAID stabilty

I'm thinking about getting another 160GB HDD and putting it into RAID. I've read that SATA RAID 0 can have some stability issues while overclocking. I'm not going to be doing serious overclocking but should I jsut stick to my IDE HDDs and put them into RAID 0, my motherboard will support it.

I just want to know how stable IDE RAID is compared to SATA RAID or is just Striping your HDD's cause instabilty regardless.

Overclocking whilst using any Sata drive can cause instability if your Sata Ports aren't locked. If they are, there should be no problem.

Well I'm not using SATA RAID since I don't have SATA HDD's I have a 40GB IDE and 160GB EIDE.

I'm just wondering if I should get another 160GB EIDE and put it into RAID 0 and I was wondering of stability issues (if any).

No reason to get 2 SATA HDD to put into RAID when I can just do it with my IDE's. I know it wont be as fast but I should see some performace gain when loading stuff, shouldn't I?

Didn't see many reviews on IDE RAID, but I'll do some mroe digging

You shouldn't see any instability by putting your IDE drives in Raid0.
Sata is only slightly faster than IDE anyway so that's not much of an issue, and yes, with Raid0 you will see a significant difference in loading times etc. Estimate anywhere from 20-30% decrease.
