HELP - I erased my drive using diskpart

New to Overclock.net
|
I erase my backup hard drive using diskpart....trying to do a install of Windows 7

looking in computer management it says the drive in Not Initialized and unallocated......any suggestions?

There's just no "un-erasing" a partition, once you erase it. You're out of luck there.
^But you can use a program like Recuva there, which is a good, handy program. If you're gonna use it on the disk though, be sure to choose the Deep Scan option.

when I run Recuva the drive in question is not listed.....is that because in computer management it says the drive in Not Initialized and unallocated?

Most likely. You'll just have to format it (there in computer management) real quick.

Dont format it, just initailize then try the program again.

Just so you know, I did the same thing as you recently and was unable to recover ANY of my terabyte of stuff.
I used recuva and deep scanned it after I assigned a drive letter. No luck.

Did you just delete the partition, or did you do a "clean all".
__________________The former is easy to recover with pretty much any recovery software. The latter is probably impossible to recover.
