Default *solved* Samsung F1 750Gb just died?
hey all,

last night my pc started lagging when entering my back-up disk (samsung F1 750Gb)
after a reboot it wouldn't start anymore (MBR is on the Samsung...just like my Ubuntu partition )
and now...my hdd won't even show up in the Device Manager in windows
is there any way i can fix it?
i'm getting 2 new HDD`s tomorrow for a Raid 1 setup, but i would still want to get as much of this disk as possible...
any help would be great

Edit: it's all solved
the problem was the Sata Cable

i don't hear any clicks or other weird noises at all...i was expecting those, but they never came...sometimes it works with booting up (like now, since i'm in Ubuntu now) but i still can't acces it...and if i can acces it, it stops within a few minutes

ok, somehow it just works flawless now
i got everything of the disk without problems, and it's been running tests all night (Flobo Hard Disk Repair + Everest + HD Tune Pro)
no errors were found
how the .... is this possible?
could it be that my Mobo is dying? or the cable perhaps?

i make backups every month...only problem is...i made them on this particular disc because i don't trust my Raid 0 setup lol.

Try a different SATA cable sometimes they go bad with being handled over time. Double check power connecter also...Cant hurt might help, Maybe

yeah, gonna try that when i get home from work. (gotta love posting from phones lol)
hopefully my girlfriend didn't notice my hdd is still working cause then i can setup a raid 0 with 4 disks and get even more speed

well, it's all done
i've replaced the Sata cable and everything is solid as a rock
plus i now have a 4x 500Gb Raid-0 set-up which has nice speeds
so...the problem ended in a massive storage + speed upgrade
