Default new to RAID0 + Win7

Hello, I just picked up two WD Black 640gbs and want to install them and a fresh Windows 7 Ultimate 64.

I want to raid 0 but I have read that you don't really gain that much OS performance and it may actually hinder your OS performance.

I also have a 750 gb.

I was considering using the 2 640s for OS, games, apps, media and then back up important stuff to the 750.

I don't do any video/photo editing but I use some light photoshop/ Visual studio/ dreamweaver and some flash as well as current games.

What do you think? Will I be happy with the Raid 0? Mainly this is what is discouraging me: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=111990

You will be happy enough with RAID-0, but the performance improvement (over a single drive) won't blow your socks off..

Check out the HD Tune sticky at the top of this forum to see the differences between single drives and two (or more) in RAID-0 - transfer rates go up, but access times are the same. For OS use, this doesn't "feel" much quicker..

I have two WD caviar blacks and windows7 and it's great. Much quicker and noticeably quicker boot and shut down times.

Slightly quicker game loading screens and it's also very quick just moving/opening things in the OS.

I recommend highly
