p5k-e motherboard, itchy-niner raid controller. Previous raid0 of two seagate .11 512GB drives half failed - I had bad sectors on one drive, but it was functional. I ordered four .12 1TB drives and set up a raid 0/1, and installed windows seven on it, then re-plugged in my two original drives alongside the new ones, and it showed up in the intel matrix manager on bootup and in windows 7, but clicking on the original volume from my new win7 asks to format it. I have hiren's boot cd, but no way to boot from it since I only have 6 sata ports, all taken by hard drives. Tips? I would be very disappointed if I lost my data - seriously large photo collection, music projects from home studio.....

You are going to have to use data recovery software at this point. Disconnect your other drives except for one that is empty. Than boot from an Acronis True Image CD.
You'll be able to make an image of the RAID array and save it to the other disc. Otherwise there is a program called RAID reconstructor that can also make images of a RAID array, then you can just open that with something like GetDataBack and recover your files.
