Default This is what happened to my HDD after dropping my laptop

Ok, so my laptop was in pretty good condition, however I didn't know that the battery release and lock latches were missing.. So a couple of days ago, I put my laptop to hibernate. While its hibernating I grabbed it by the back and was going to put it in my backpack, when the battery slid out.. So while its still in the process of hibernating, it fell onto my chair, and then tumbled to the hard concrete floor below.. and this is how the hard drive came out:

After almost 3.5hr of scanning, the drive started to make loud clicking noises, and I decided to stop. Anyways, almost every other sector on this drive is damaged.. Good thing no valuable data was lost, and my laptop still works after replacing the drive!

lol ditto...

I swear, I must be the luckiest guy with dropping/unintentionally throwing their laptops to the ground.

Last year, I fell asleep in my bed with my laptop next to me. I shoved it off the bed when I woke up, and it fell three feet, screen open, onto the hard carpet floor. But somehow it closed itself correctly and landed right-side up. Hard drive still works perfectly to this day (I'm typing on the laptop right now).

And a few days ago, I was grabbing my messenger bag to go to class, and I didn't realize the charger cord for my netbook was snaked around it. The netbook flew off the dresser and smashed to the floor. Other than having the battery lock be a little loose than before, the netbook looks and works perfectly still.
