i know the score means nothing if i am getting performance but it bothers me and i want it back the way it was 7.1

I'm still upset that my 4870x2 is keeping my WEI at 6.0, but thats another story. Possibally an issue with changing back and forth from AHCI and IDE, windows doesn't like it. There is a registry "hack" that makes it possible I think, not sure if it works though - I thought you should re-install your OS to move between the two. Have you ran a benchmark to make sure the drive is running OK? My fav for SSD's is ATTO at the moment.

I'd expect it to be a bit faster if its all working correctly, my Agility writes at 150 and your vertex should be the same of faster AFAIK. I know they slow down a bit when they fill up, mines only at 35%. Its possible its just in a "used" state but that shouldn't happen if the trim is doing its job. Have you ran wiper.exe or done anything to return it to a "new" state. I'm just guessing but I'm thinking windows may not see it as an SSD and turn on the trim, thats why you get 5.9, there is a way to see if trim is on - I'll try and find it.

Took me a while to find that "fsutil" thing again, could just be windows - my GFX should score over 7 AFAIK. I'd try the wiper or re-install after a secure wipe and see if the write goes up at all.

I thought they went a bit quicker, not sure though. I must of just got lucky and got an Agility with the decent chips in it.
