HD Tune says average transfer rate on my current drive is 44 MB/s. My new drive should be twice that and some......

Thanks again for pointing out that Seagate!

I will compare the two drives with HD Tune and take screenshots when my new one gets here on probably Wednesday.

It's interesting, I have the Seagate and Western Digital AAKS drive. The Seagate gets about 110 MB/s while the AAKS is 96 MB/s.

I can vouch for the one I have right now (the Western Digital 640GB Caviar Black), It's really fast and decently priced.

500GB Seagate is on its way fellas. I know the WD Black's are sweet but the information I found showed the Seagate slighty ahead of it and costs $10 less.

You should've got the Samsung Spinpoint F3, they're even slightly faster than the Seagate 7200.12's.
