Well, received the 640gb black from the egg a few days ago. Went to hook it up to my pc so that I can transfer some files over. But when i boot up the pc, it said "sata drive xx defective" and the pc wont even boot into window. I even tried the sata cable and power cable from my old storage drive that is working and still the same thing happen.
__________________Is this mean that the drive is dead? Is there anything else I can do to test out the drive? The weird thing is that it wont even let me boot into window for some reason with the black hooked up.

With the drive hooked up, I can't even get the pc to go into windows. Therefore, I can't format it. In bios the drive is not being detective at all.

I did that already. Hooked it up to a sata cable that was working on the other drive. But still nothing.
