Hey guys, I was wondering if running a RAID (RAID 0) with 2 hard drives and than using a separate hard drive as storage (JBOD) using the same SATA Cable that is being used on the RAID Configuration, would this affect performance?
Thanks in advance

I'm confused by the question...maybe you can explain what you mean by "using the same SATA Cable"

Molex as in power right? that shouldn't be a problem at all.

I'm still confused. Do you mean your power supply has a cable that has 2 sata connectors and molex connector? And you're wondering if using the molex will interfere or something with the other 2 drives that are using the sata connectors? One long cable with the 3 connectors on it.

^Right, there will be no problems at all then. Just don't setup the 3rd hdd as part of your RAID 0 array, so it's independent from the array.

Alright let me clear up my question
![]() While running a RAID Configuration with two hard drives, than adding another hard drive using the same molex connector (Power Connector) affect performance in anyway? Or should I stay "safe" and use another molex connector for the third hard drive?
