question says it all, this HD has 2 jumper settings unlike the 4 im used to, and the instructions it came with are for the 4 sets of jumper settings, I'm confused :S I'm using this hdd as a standalone HD for my new rig, please help! (PS: It did not come with any plastic jumpers)

No, sata drives dont require any jumpers. IDE did, to indicate master/slave but sata ones dont.

On some of the earlier boards that came with sata 1 the jumper was needed to reduce speeds to 150mb .
