Ok so my mono and CPU got fried by my friends bad psu. I exchanged them at microcenter for the EXaCT same freaking parts. I had western digital caviar black 1tb hard drives in raid 0 (2 drives). The pc detects the raid volume yet it tells me no boot device. The raid volume has windows 7 ulti ate 32 bit on it and my 12,000 songs. I don't wanna lose my music
how do I load windows?!?!Things I tried: swapping sata ports on Drives just in case messing with some boot options. It IS SET ON RAID IN BIOS. It's also telling me that it detects the raid volume with coreypc as it's name which is what I named it on my previous setup.

If I couldn't boot into any of my OS's on my previous computer I'd run a Gparted disk and check my files that way. Not sure if it'll work with RAID setups though. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

Have you tried Windows auto repair, Get your OS disk and try to repair it. Worked for me on my raid once with the same error.

After you figure out how to get back into windows, please be sure to backup your music to DVDs.

When you installed your RAID, did you have any additional drives connected? If so, the boot partition might have been set to that 3rd drive.
What I would try is to install the OS to a 3rd HDD (you can set the SATA controller to RAID). Then connect the other 2 HDDs and see if you can recognize the RAID partition.

That sucks... That is why you do redundancy
RAID 5 BABY! The stuff I have, it can be replaced. Plus, my use is backed up on 4 drives <.< Sig rig's RAID 0 Sig rig's 500GB backup MacBook Pro's internal drive External 1TB drive.... Although with the amount of music you have... that would be rather...difficult.

Having 12,000 songs without a backup somewhere AND putting them on a RAID 0 array was just asking for trouble.

So he's going to have to add a 3rd drive to his raid array to allow access to the first two?

12,000 songs is not very much to get back. If you got it off iTunes, you can redownload any songs you paid for. Don't use 1TBs in a unprotected RAID. Sig rig has 112GB of music and never lost a byte.
