I have a SATA150 200gb Maxtor with 8mb cache if I get another one to go into raid should I get same one or one with 16mb cache. Will it really matter or will the one with 8mb cache just bottleneck the one with 16mb in raid?

Raid will use the slower of the 2 drives, get 2x16mb cache and use the 8mb as a storage drive.

YES cache makes a huge difference...you need to make sure the drives match, theres no reason in getting one drive faster and one drive slower..its like running 2 different ram sticks...doesnt overclock and run well does it?

I got the 8mb cache 200gb but could have gotten the same one with 16mb cache for 5$ more oh well ...... when Ill upgrade I'll get the same 8mb cache and make it RAID... Seems fast to me right now ..upgrading from IDE...
