SLI will no longer be useful to single monitor users after the 8800GTX is released. It's power is so awesome, that all the current generation of CPU's are a bottleneck to graphics processing. You would have to have a quadcore and a game that uses multiple cores to make the 8800GTX sweat.

That and the utter lack of decent FSB speeds make Nvidia's chipsets worthless IMHO. Look at my sig...I'm coming from experience and am not making the same mistake twice.
