Apparently the article dosent explain what MSRA is. Here is a page on it.

Its basicly a mutation of a bacteria(Staphylococcus aureus) that has become resistant to a common antibiotic(methicillin)

It's a pretty serious problem in the UK. Folks go into hospital for some minor treatment or other, stay there for a few days and die of the MRSA "superbug". Damn hospitals are killing people who, if they hadn't had any treatment for their original illness etc, would probably still be alive... I love the NHS (thank goodness we have one) but the government need to sort out the MRSA problem before it becomes more widespread. It's a serious threat, much more so than terrorists. It's amazing that the government has spent loads on anti-terrorism and changed many of our social systems to combat it, yet MRSA has killed more people than terrorism has over the last two decades in the UK and very little seems to be being done about it...

awww they don't clean the computers at our school much at all. They are all dusty and what not, except the one I sit at I wipe with something so its at least not dusty. *starts to fear keyboards* SECOND THOUGHT *GOTTA PLAY GAMES!!!*

Apparently government scientists are close to finishing testing on a drug they say will combat MRSA. I don't know what it's called, but apparently it's been though trials on animals with great success, so human testing is the next phase before it can be widely used. Hopefully it'll work and people can stop being killed by the NHS's poor management by the government. Really though, prevention is better than cure, if you'll excuse the cliché. Basic hygiene standards need to be improved in hospitals so that people don't contract MRSA in the first place. A cure would be great, but somebody needs to take responsibility for the the problem occurring in the first place. Where is the accountability....?

If anything, blame the overuse of anit-biotics for non life-threating health problems. MRSA evolved to become so tough because it adapted to a state that it could survive in the bloodstream along with most anti-biotics.

Yeah and who is in charge of health care in the UK? Oh yes, the government! MRSA has killed more British people in the last 5 years than the Iraq war and terrorism on British soil combined. Guess where the most money has been spent though....
