I'm an Intel noob, but what's a Conroe-L?

Seems like I may have sen someone that it's a single core?

Conroe-L is the "lite" version or the single core version of the Conroe. Some models will have 1 mb of L2 cache and they will most likely be priced at ~$100.00

Theres lite version of a single core Conroe? Wow. I just got into the intel scene like literally, 2 weeks ago, lol. And 100 bucks seems like a killer deal! Can these be bought now?

In a month or two, but it's a single core processor and I could only see these being used to get world records.
