i would wait for evga but not the others, evga and msi are the only ones i would buy unless the price was very convincing

No what I mean was, if you are going to buy an 8xxx series why do you care about step up issues, since the only hitch would be in stepping up to a 9xxx series which won't be made for a very long time.
