Yes I believe so, since they are in competition with the RV670s, which are DX10.1 certified.
I think I'll still buy a GTX...the way I see it is, if your hardware dies, and say they discontinue the 90nm GTX (I think they will), and they run out of stock they'll have to give me something better! Only reason I say this is because I like to volt mod...and it usually kills my cards.

Something isn't sitting right with me on these charts/benchies. I want to see more from a consumer standpoint (when they debut of course). I'm sure we will see a change in these charts. Out perform an Ultra and a GTX on one partcular bench? highly unlikely, unless there was an issue in the system, bottlenecking or otherwise.

I'm going to simply hope the benchmarks are real and the price is 200-250, because that would really make my day. I'll just have to wait and see though.

as much as i embrace the rapid acceleration of technology, and the inevitable price cuts that come along with it.. i really don't think nvidia would release a $250 card that utterly whoops a (nearly) $400 card. either the benches are wrong or the projected prices are.

For example, hypothetically, if the GT can produce a 30% profit but the GTX can only produce a 5% profit, which would make more sense to sell more of? Granted this would suck to be an existing GTX owner, but as for the rest of us who live in reality or on a budget would greatly benifit. IMO ATM, I can't wait to see the GT in SLI on a SLI MB.

don't get me wrong, i'd love to see the GT sell for $250 - in that case, sign me up for 2! it just doesn't seem very realistic to me, though.

I just listed my X1950 Pro Extreme for sale on Ebay in anticipation of this thing. The new Nvidia Pricing structure for enthusiast cards goes as follows: ~$210 - 256MB 8800GT w/256-bit mem bus ~$260 - 512MB 8800GT w/256-bit mem bus ~$330 - 640MB 8800GTS (revised model w/12 more pixelshaders) w/320-bit mem bus ~$450 - 768MB 8800GTX w/384-bit mem bus ~$550 - 768MB 8800Ultra w/384-bit mem bus As has been stated 100 times, the 512MB 8800GT will come awfully close to the performance (if not surpass it) of the current 320MB 8800 GTS. As a result, Nvidia is adding pixelshaders to the 8800 GTS and dropping the 320MB version. *Edit - and the 8800 GTS will be moving to a smaller, cooler core that will be clocked faster. These prices/models should kick in on October 29.

Well the new GTS is practically a GTX, but with 128mb less vram and a slightly lower mem bus.
