They need to be the same model. I.E. SLI 2 8800GTX and 2 8800GTs. Not a GTX and a GT.

I don't know why you would want to SLI the two?

Hmm, so let me clear this up...The GT is coming out Oct 29 and the GTS is coming out Nov 19 right?

I think I'll be getting the GTS if its a slightly worse GTX for like 300 bucks. Why the hell not.

You are right. I didn't make that clear in my initial post.

I assume, that because the 8800GT was originally schedule for release on Nov 19, that the 8800 GTS revised edition will still be out on Nov 19. I haven't seen anything to the contrary, but it is certainly possible that the new GTS will be out next Tuesday also.

If you want an upgrade and you already got the 640MB 8800GTs, go get an ultra, or 2 and sli them.
The performance of an ultra is still better.
Obviosly if your taking price into the fold.
Then I might just buy 2 8800GT ans sli them.

Im glad I sold my GTS a while back then and got all my money back...I would not be pleased with nvidia for being screwed over by the GTS.
