Well, if it has the 112, I think it would take the 2900pro's place as the best bang-for-buck card since the 7600gt.

If this card coming out really does have 112 shaders, then these tests may be less fake than I originally thought... but EVERY SINGLE article ive read so far has told me otherwise.... everyone is saying these are a 8600-8800gts gap closer... because if i remember correctly, the 8600gts has 32 shaders, and the 8800gts has 96, which is a more important gap to close than the one between the gts/gtx because the majority of consumers aren't willing to spend more than $200 dollars on a video card

For the gap between 8600gts and 8800gts,Nvidia planned 8800GS in april it was even in the drivers but it got delayed i dont know why,maybe to sell 8600 series.Anyways here is how it looks like,

anyways i really dont see the big issue here. that was one test. on an older game. even if the GT beat the GTX in a benchmark, bloody well good on it lol. means nvidia are doing something very very well. why complain? im always happy to welcome new tech. im currently very happy with my setup, if something is about to come out that can beat it, at a much cheaper cost... well thats spewin for me i guess. doesnt make my setup perform any less, just means theres something else better. always is. always will be. this is the PC industry, the high tech industry.

judging by those tests, the GTX still kicks arse in most real-world apps where it matters anyway. i love benchmarking, but i love gaming a ****load more.

At the guys saying this card can't score high in the benchmarks. I'd just like to point out the fact that this card is realeased like what? 1 year after those others? So, obviously this card will be more optimised and working alot better for its price and chip than those 'test bunny' chips in the early 8800 series. I might be wrong but I believe I am not.
