What you think they can overclock like core 2's just because they are 65nm?

It is tough for a core 2 at that speed to hit 3.6 (hehehe most core 2's that is) and it appears to be tough for an unlocked phenom to hit 3.0, something that is childs play to a core 2, not to mention a core 2 quad.

The Errata causes issues, but it in now way effects that kind of stability at higher clock speeds, and would most certainly not effect overclocking headroom. In fact the fix might just have a counter effect to overclocking headroom and might decrease it.

What the hell is wrong with you Intel Fanboys, why is it that every single time you guys see a post about anything that has to do with AMD processors you guys feel like you HAVE to come in and start shooting off your stupid "AMD Suckz lolz" and "AMD is pathetic, Intel is so much better" lines. Honestly, I think its damned Impressive for a company that owns less than 20% of the market share to be giving a company with 10x the R&D budget a run for its money clock-for-clock, and giving us people still on AM2 a cheaper upgrade path to quads.

You guys just need to get a life and go outside and make a snowman or something... find a girlfriend... order some ProActive... do SOMETHING, because I'm getting really sick of having to scroll through all your posts when im looking for some useful information on the Phenoms.

chill dude, I dont think those comments were perticularly fanboy-ish. They were just writing what they thought about the results in the article. Its just a fact that phenom does not overclock as well as C2Q. Regardless Ill be getting a BE 9600 as soon as the B3 revision comes out.

No one here said any of that so don't put words in my mouth. We made comments that are intelligent, and spot on, no wild speculation, and nothing made up.

I for one was expecting higher clocks from the new process and architecture, but yet again HardOCP bungles another review. Sadly they post nothing but disappointing and half written reviews. No temps, no benchmarks, 10 minutes to run one simple benchmark would had satisfied us yet kept us coming back for more. It would have been much more effective at grabbing people and holding on, then just cranking out a review as fast as possible.

Well, I'm still sticking with Intel for now, but this IS impressive for an AMD, and especially for a Phenom. Last time I checked, people were happy at getting a 2.2ghz Phenom to 2.4ghz... lol.

Hopefully it just keeps getting better!

We all know intels can OC higher, we all know phenoms have an errata, and we all know how you want to stroke your ePenis with your MEGAHURTZ OC!!!!!!! Seriously, im so tired of it. Well, did any of the posters that are disappointed with AMD let them know? I am sure they will just fold and quit if they new that a few techie OCer's were let down by their lack of pwnage. I mean, how dare AMD get our hopes up? Do you realize how many benches I could have run in the time I wasted reading about Phenom and 3870 x2's and eratta? I bet they just haven't been paying attention to the truely 1337 users out there that DEMAND a superior product every other month. I mean, what else am I supposed to do with my time if I can't post 3dmark scores and look down on anything that is less than the best?
