I'm thinking about getting a PS3 because its got bluray and I like the controllers better than anything else, seriously, as long as I have some fun games for it (GTA IV later this year, MGS, I like motorstorm) then I'd be fine with one, although 360 has got live, I use my PC for online gaming.

A little game called Final Fantasy 13? I don't know, sounds like it could be a pretty big game to me. Also Ninja Gaiden 2, Little Big Planet, Haze and a couple others.

Bleh I hate FF

Thinking back to my last experience I bought my PS2 first and then the Xbox. I seemed to like the Xbox a lot more but in all honesty it just had Halo and all the other games seem to be poor at best.

PS2 had/has a much larger library of content.

My opinion is the PS3 will pull out of this eventually - albeit at this currenty point in time Heavenly Swords and Resistence: Fall of Men isn't exactly the kind of games you want to use to get your console to sell.

Then again Sony is so effing big I doubt this little loss matters at all lol.

something that needs to be kept in mind also when your looking at first year sales trend, the xbox 360 was hard to get a hold of, if it was always readily available, like the ps3, its numbers probably would have been higher

Ninja Gaiden 2 is 360 only.

Wow...I think you just have a bad battery. I just use Energizer rechargables in mine; and I think I've changed them out once in the two months I've had my X360. Maybe 6-10 hours of play time a week. (Recent weeks might be skewing my perception, since I've been using the wired Rock Band controllers a lot.)

You can't project how good the PS3 library will be based on how good the PS2 library was. Third party developers go where the gamers are. The PS2 had the strongest game library because it had the largest installed base by far...no other reason.

If the PS3 sales remain half of the X360 sales, you should continue to expect the weaker library to persist because no new projects will have incentive to develop for the PS3. If the PS3 narrows the gap, then the library will grow correspondingly.
