Oh really ??

eVGA 8800GT 512MB is now selling for $239 at newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130318

Or you can get it for $228 from here
http://www.ncixus.com/products/27704...-N801-AR/eVGA/

And it performs better than the similar priced HD3870 in most cases
Proof? The 9800GX2 is going to be Nvidia next ultra high end card from what I gather, I seriously doubt Nvidia would sell their highest end for $450, just look at prices of the last 2 generations. Even then, Im fairly sure the 3870 X2 is selling less than $450.

The 8800GT has been selling for $240 for awhile now, nothing new. The 3850 is still undisputed king of $150 - $200..

The GX2 is G92 still.

You are asking me to prove that 9800GX2 is going to sell cheaper than HD3870 X2 ?! Please don't make me laugh ! Because you can't prove the opposite either

Can you prove that HD3870 X2 is going to be cheaper than 9800GX2 ?

Can you prove that HD3870 X2 is going be less than $450 ?

You can't prove anything

And according to VR-ZONE the selling prices set by retailers is $510-$550

Call down flamer.

Let me clarify. When the 9800GX2 comes out, the 3870X2 will be cheaper than it.

Also, xdas said that the GX2 will have something in it that outperforms it right away, I was saynig that is was a G92 core still, so it wont have any features that the G92 doesnt have.

But again, calm down. Its like I called you the worse name in the world. Your post is arrogant, and is actually insulting. I was asking for proof to where you got that the 9800GX2 is $450, but apparently that cant be answered.

I didn't insult anyone. You ask people to prove what they say, but you can't prove anything that you say. Do you have any proof for your claims ? I think the answer is no
So, please prove your claims before you ask other people to prove what they say.

You are telling me that GX2 will be based on the G92 as if HD3870 X2 is going to be based on a new core !

Yes I have a link that say that 9800GX2 is going to be $449
