Default [Exp] SLI performance boost! GeForce 9600GT Review

http://en.expreview.com/?p=273

Looks like the G92 core still has a lot of fight in it. Check out the http://en.expreview.com/?p=273&page=16scores of the 9600GT SLI vs. HD3870X2. The 9600GTs perform much better than the HD3870X2 so we can only assume that the 9800GX2 will perform even better.

I think the 9600 is G94 and 8800 GT is G92. The 9800 GX2 uses 2 8800 GT, so these scores do not translate to the power of a 9800 GX2. Unlike dual 8800 GT which should be closer to the 9800 GX2. Correct me if i am wrong.

--Both games tested were nVidia optimized. How i do believe 2 9600 is probably more bang for your buck i call possible bias on any article that only shows results from games that are optimized for 1 manufacture or the other.

Nice comparisons. I believe I may have seen a few of them already, but thanks.

The 9800GX2 uses 2 G92 cores, the 8800GTS variant, that has 128 sp's...

the 8800GT only has 112sp..

Well , very good, but still has only 208 GFlops, compared to 3850 & 3870 -> 429 GFlops & 496 GFlops. Very sad how raw power doesn't show the real in-game performance

It's all about putting the power to the road I'm afraid. Larger numbers don't always win at the track.
