I absolutely hate the fans on the cards nVidia started using since the 8xxx series. They are so weak. Arctic Cooling got it right with their NV vga coolers. Jeez, how about looking into that nVidia? AC's fans actually pushed air out the back, my 8800 GTX with the same fan design as the 9xxx series does nothing close to it unless I push the fan up to 100%.

Either those pics are fake, or Nvidia has done some major overhaul/cleanup on the architecture of the GPU. Which if the latter is true, regardless of how it looks on paper, it still could perform quite well. Only time will tell I guess...

That's pretty ridiculous if it's real. I wouldn't buy a card with 512MB of RAM ever again. I can't believe nvidia is going to release that as their flagship.

No, I don't need to know how it works to see it work. I don't understand the specs all to much. However, when I see the card in 3dmark, and I see how it works in games then I will know rather or not this will be a good card without truly understading the specs of the card.

The gpuz shot is either edited or incorrect (which if you dont have the latest gpuz is very likely + they would not have released a gpuz to properly detect the 9800gtx ffs!) i reckon just incorrect.

1) 3dmark06 scores will be pants with drivers that dont have a clue what card they are running!

2) My buddy in nvidia US (driver programmer) assures me that its G100 with 512mbit memory interface. this guy as never told me incorrect info to date

3) why would they drop the memory interface when going from the 8800gtx to 9800gtx? 375>256mbit ....

i say just be patient till someone reputable releases the info, this will be a sweet card

Totally fake. The 9800gtx is supposed to have more shaders and a 512bus. That card it recognizes is a pos 9600gt or something.

The 9 Series is gonna suck. My Quad 8800Ultras will annihilate any 9800GTX setup. Its all hype. 9800 has less bandwidth and memory its no use upgrading unless you dnt have something in the 8800s or 2900XT.
