I'll wait for benchmarks.
And if those don't impress me, I'll wait for R700. I probably will anyway, my X1900XT is still doing me proud.

WOW Ultimate Gaming Edition.......that is soooooo funny! Too bad you probably can't even play half the games out on it........I mean that would be a liberal estimate.......

PS: Even by the device ID you can see that its 10DE-0612 and the 8800GT is xxxx-0611, which means that the card which is mislead to be 9800GTX is in fact the GTS, which came out right after the GT! Case closed!

lets face it, people buying a 9800GTX are mainly going to be enthusiasts and enthusiasts are going to want to see benchies before they purchase the card. Nvidia must know this.
Also consider that ATI's last offering (the X2) is very good and it seems ATI is starting to get it together. If Nvidia wants to keep the lead they are going to have to step up with something great. All these pics semm like bull to me. With that said, if this card cant run crysis at +30 fps on very high at 1440x900 i will probably wait for something better, be it ATI or Nvidia.

Well this means that the 9800GTX and GX2 are NOT the next new flagship cards. As I said in a different thread, I expect a 9900 GTX with a 55nm or smaller GPU before this year's end.
My GTS 512 has been outperforming the GTX I used to own so far, so I am happy to keep my GTS 512 and call it an upgrade. Maybe there's some sort of performance increase due to the 65nm shrinkage over the 90nm GPU on the 8800GTX. Maybe better OC potential vs the GTS 512? Let's just wait until it's release before making any conclusions.
