Post [expreview] [Review] ForceWare 174.16 WHQL

Quote:
9600GT’s debut shocks us. At first we think the card is only a weaken G92, but after the test we are wrong. The card is good in mid-to high range. But we also start to think, maybe the driver also driver also improve a lot.
Words has it that NVIDIA improved 9600GT’s data/texture compression algorithm, optimized the graphic memory usage when it equip with small memory. We think the improvement is mainly at the Driver side, because the G94 is only a G92 shrink, architecture is the same.

where can you download this sucker. Or are they not released yet. I'd love to give em a try.

Wait, are these only for the 9600 series?

So does this say how it compares to the 8800 GT after these drivers? Need to know if I should upgrade or not.

Well, if you see pg 3, you would notice that from one driver to the other there is a change in all aspects so IMO would upgrade the driver. I mean the latest is supposed to be the best
