Default [ExpRev] Intel preparing a mini-ITX G45 mobo

Quote:
Intel try to put G45 and a Quad CPU into a mini-ITX box. According to sources, Intel not only unleashing their Atom CPU and Centrino Atom platform, they also planning for a nimi-ITX G45 called DG45FC, FC for “Flying Creek”.

The mobo supports Intel Core 2 Quad and Core 2 Duo processors. The two memory slot supports up to 4GB DDR2 800MHz. Intel did not mention what graphic core the mobo will use, but we think it will be X4500HD which supports DX10.

The mobo will hit the market before June.

Nice looking motherboard. I rather have an integrated CPU... makes it cheaper. Also, it looks like they got rid of the 4/8-pin AUX plug. The G45 should be able to do full 1080p BluRay with hardware acceleration.

The only thing I don't like is that there is just a 1x PCIe slot. They could have at least made it a 16x physical slot for greater compatibility.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular
