Now that makes me wonder if the 100TJ for G0 stepping is accurate or not. It's a bit scary not knowing now if your temperatures that you thought or were said to be accurate is accurate or not now.

I already know all about Core Temps, thanks to this guide over @ Tom's:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/22...perature-guide I wonder if the guys over @ Anandtech "borrowed" any of the info from there? ![]() Still, I found "the truth about processor degradation" pertinent, as newbs can only quantify such things by use of graphs and charts (aka pics). /end sarcasm

I trust CoreTemp the most when it detects the accurate TJ.

It's still a guesstimate. Intel even said that it was wrong (in a Maximum PC article).

I am a bit gutted about the whole Tj thing. I don't know what to use and I may have been running my chip in the 70°C range if the 100°C Tj max for M0 (coretemp 0.96.0) is anything to go by.
I get 66°C Orthos load and around 60 when folding with 0.96.0, and thats on stock volts, I doubt my cooler is that bad a performer.
