Default [ExpRev] Emit 10% more heat w/ liquid clothing for your cooler

Quote:
The little thing will cost you 30USD, but according to the manufacturer it it effective, can emit 10% heat out of the original cooler. It is a bottle of liquid about 5CC, you can clothing it on any cooler you want. When it is totally dryed, it can help cooler to spray out more heat by far-infard radiation. The full report is here. Will you buy this stuff?(if the price is lower)

Sounds like a gimmick to me. You can't increase transmission of a wavelength through a coating. I think the coating would actually insulate your cooler (thus raising your temps).

scam. The only way I can see a liquid improving temps is if it was corrosive and made your flat fins rough... increasing surface area.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular

I had to read this like 4 times to understand what was being said... I'm still not sure what this really does...

Something about a cloth fiber when applied (glued?) to a heat sink (the fins?? the bottom of the part that sits on the CPU??) will give you 10% better temps?? Is this load temp? or idle? both?

I'm all about crazy new things like this, but why does things like this always come from translated sources that don't make much sense?

In the past year they made light travel faster than that speed.

If they made light travel faster than the speed of light, it is still called traveling at the speed of light. Be it a faster light speed, its still the same speed, as defined as "the speed of light"

We need to start getting technical with our "warp" speeds, so comments like these can be explained better...

And the only way (i think) this liquid product would work, is what duckio says. If this some how creates more surface area it might be something useful....

Lost in translation? I don't want something to emit more heat...

Besides, if it's a liquid from China it probably causes cancer.
