So this means if 9600GT SLi are 11% slower the 8800GT SLi ans maybe 15-20% slower the 8800GTS Sli making them let say 20% slower then 9800GX2 for half the price? For the first time 2 Midrange can beat 1 High end. 9600GT SLi > 9800GTX

Then most likely the cost would be driven up and they could possibly be more than an 8800 GT.

ExpReview is such a joke. They said last year that SLI "sucked" and Crossfire scaled better. ~8 other websites said just the opposite, even going so far as to show a couple games being crippled by Crossfire. I have an 8800 GT SLI setup and I get on average around 80% gain in just about any game I play. My friends CF setup cannot even get to 50% most of the time which claims the vast majority of the reviews to be true.

They made one review where CF supposedly scaled better 50% of the time and now all you ever hear is "CF scales better..." in snobbish tones all over this forum.

IMHO I think they are idiots. When [H], Tomshardware, Guru3d, AnAndtech, etc say just the opposite, I think ill stick with them.

I hear ya buddy. I am constantly defending expreview for this very reason. However... "more better?"

Given how great the 9600GT is for it's cost and number of stream processors, does anyone else think it's weird how terrible the 9800GX2 is? It's just two 8800GTS stuck together, and that's pretty far below 9600GT's per-stream-processor, per-clock, and per-dollar per-formance.

The only reason I bought a 9800GX2 is so I can step-up to the GT200

In more than 90% items, Crossfire scales more better than SLI. In 60% test items CrossFire scale up more than 50% performance compare to single card. But in SLI’s side, it can only scale 40% items up to 50%.
Wow. Nelly does video card reviews now.
