I believe Creative is allowing him to work on the Audigy drivers still, but not X-Fi. I can't believe that he they haven't tried to hire him. What a bunch of morons.

The world works that way. Only in school do the smartest and best people excel. In the real world, there's a lot of politics involved. Otherwise how would incompetent people continue to pull in pay check?

IDK, I can tell the difference with an X-Fi and it's considerable IMO. I'd run it in my rig if I boot XP.

Yeah. There is just no comparison to hardware accelerated sound. Of course, now with multi core CPUs, the notion of "it saves CPU cycles" no longer applies.

That is completely untrue in certain situations. I gained 15 FPS in Gears of War, and 2142 stopped lagging (not major lag, i would say it was about 25fps, just enough for you to definitely notice--maybe, choppy is the word used to describe such?) in areas of the Titan completely. Overall i saw a large increase in performance because my CPU bottleneck was drastically reduced.

Going Broke Overclocking
![]() |
This just proves that Creative is run by IDIOTS! Frankly they have screwd up royal for years and continue to do so. I've not bought a Creative product since the SB Live 5 was a PITA on XP!
Another Big Company crappy product IMHO!
