lightsmark is an OpenGL benchmark man... no one cares about openGL.
AWWW

Name ONE other site that "maxes out their NVidia cards and runs against bone stock ATI cards"

I hate to sound fight-y, but thats a piss poor excuse.

I'm pretty sure he's just an ATI fanboi trying to show something about nvidia being an inferior brand. He lost track of the actual subject a long time ago.

I thought the 8800GS was complete waste of money...much better can be had for that money...

Oh and heres one of those typical reviews, comparing an 8800GS with a 130Mhz core oc to the stock 256mb HD 3850, even though price wise its closer to the 512mb.

http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/...3850/index.php

In non-nvidia biased test(if such a thing existed) its really a mixed bag, compared to the 256mb 3850 the 8800GS has an advantage with AA/AF on, since that takes extra video memory, but at resolutions higher than 1280x1024 the HD 3850 pulls ahead in most games. If I could find a review comparing it to a 512mb 3850 it would most likely be tied and less than the 3850 in most tests.

and it'll do 800mhz core on air...

so I think the point is moot, it's got damn near as much clock headroom as the 3870 but it's 2/3rds the price.
