Interesting... ati owns the low-mid-range end while nvidia is in the high end. I'm surprised the 3870x2 and 9800gx2 isnt listed, but the 8800GTS SLi is listed :/

Looks about right. For the money and performance I feel the 8800gts 512 is the best for a single card around $220. Will run every game out there and should handle just about anything coming in the future (minus Crysis 2 for the love of god)

I would have to disagree with their low end assessment. The 8800GS and 9600GT both dominate the low end market. You can get an 8800GS for as much as an HD3850 256MB and an 9600GT for as much as an HD3850 512MB would cost you.

I think the 8800GS is a good card for the price/performance and its not listed.

False, the 8800GS beats the HD3850 by a pretty big amount, it is even comparable to the HD3870.

The only time that the HD3850 won was by 35 points in 3dmark03 and 300 points 3dmark05, the 8800GS beats the HD3850 in 3dmark06 by nearly 700 points and triples the HD3850's score in lightsmark. So one could say that the 8800GS still wins in synthetic benchmarks too since the 8800GS outscores it overall by 400 points and over 200fps in lightsmark.
