Nope, thats just the demo. The full version uses up to 4 cores, if I remember correctly.

To anyone who says, 'Hah AMD has to use 3 cores to be our awsome intel dual cores'

If AMD sell the Tri Core @ Dual Core prices, this is a major win over Intel - AMD are really using their iniative on this one, their quad cores arent the best so they are taking a similar architecture that they can cheaply produce to beat the enemy - Awsome

I hope AMD does well with this, i'd certainly buy one if it was at the right price and had some OC'in potential

Ahahahahahaha! This is hilarious! Intel is walking on AMD with these Core 2 processors...I had higher hopes for the X3 than this...they definitely need to find some higher clock speeds pretty quick to keep up with the mid-high end E8400 Core 2's. I'm talking 3Ghz stock speeds or better.

No but that's the problem, the dual core Intels keep up with them all too well and if anyone wants one with fast clock speeds like the E8500, it's all over. I wasn't necessarily talking about price as a factor. For stock users and everything it might be all fine and dandy but for people like the users of Overclock.net and other enthusiasts it might be a big deal

I need an overclocking test, and then comparisons at maximum overclocks and at similar overclocks...

Nice find none the less... Why do the chinese get this stuff before us?

Distance from China and Taiwan<->China and Canada/US
Looky on a map.
Plus they probably have people on the inside.
(IE: Guy works at Taiwanese factory, lives in Taiwan, yet is Chinese)

All the tests show that there's no benefit to Crysis from more than two cores, a duallie runs it just as fast as a C2Q.

So I imagine 2 faster cores would beat 3 slower ones.

Yea but anyone that is willing to go the multicore route would be better off with a intel quad core processor like the Q6600 TBH. The amd tricore would get destroyed by the intel quad cores and they are around the same price range. Having three processors is also a little silly too considering that most software base their multithreading around computers with cores that are multiples of two.

Nope. Play it and all 4 cores are churning along just fine.

I doubt if AMD's numbers are even that good.

Expreview sucks imho. No matter what comes out, if its AMD or ATI they strangley call "WIN!!!" while all other reputable sites are calling "FAIL!!!"

Screw expreview

+rep though, nice find...i think muwahahaha
