This card defeats one of my favorite things about the stock x2: the fact the cooler doesn't belch hot air to the inside of the case. The stock cooler has the fan, then the two heatsinks, and finally the exhaust out the rear of the case. Sure there is the black heatsink on the backside and the red sinks on the outer edge but I look at this Turbo and wonder how much my case temps would go up.

QFT

That is a real down side to my 8800GT's. When overclocking them my CPU heat skyrockets and all the exit fans are blowing really hot air. Watercooling here I come.

Card looks great though.

I almost pulled the trigger on the GX2 but I want my system temps to be in line even on those hot, humid MN summer days. I looks at the reference cooler closely and that's what turned me off. The thought of two G92's heat getting dumped inside my case was not appealing at all. Sure you can WC it (I even have the pump and rad already) but then you are talking one mondo-expensive vid card.

yea i hope HIS makes their usaual turbo coolers for the Hd 3870x2. Like this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161217

where they "beltch hot air out"

but meh :/ videocards replace each other pratically in months, i say to myself "why bother :P" bring on 4870x2 and 9900GX2 :P
