Default [EP] Gigabyte now going to war with ASUS…

Source

Quote:

You may seen the Quad NIC solution by Gigabyte P45-DQ6, and ASUS now also unveils their P5Q Premium: another mobo with Quad NIC. And now Gigabyte said that is their first idea, and seems angry with these..

What’s more, Gigabyte also pointing out ASUS EPU is fake, not only changing numbers without change its hardware, but its EPU control software is actually only “down clock”. Let pics speak for themselves.

I don't think gigabyte would really do this as a company to another, but I would think asus would skimp on hardware o.o

The big question... what desktop needs four NICs?

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular

I expected nukes and assault rifles, and instead was greeted by whiteboards and charts.

This isn't war; it's a meeting.

I read somewhere that they had simply "borrowed" a server board for this build and couldn't be arsed/ forgot to take two of them off!
That could of course be pure "Counter" marketing by "another' MoBo company!

Nice find Marin!

DFI is last on my list, ASUS 2nd (for ease of RMA), and Gigabyte @ first, because I have never had the need to RMA stuff. I still have a couple of Gigabyte 965 boards that has been folding 24/7 for 4 months with no problems.
